May 13th, 2022 - Soccer

Introduction

The dedication that the fans and players have for Texas college soccer teams, North Texas SC in USL and FC Dallas in MLS already shows how much the Dallas people love soccer. The northern part of Texas has a great amount of beautiful parks and fields, so this time we really had to limit ourselves to Dallas and closely surrounding parts only in finding the popular places to play soccer. Below is that short list of places.

01. MoneyGram Soccer Park

If you play soccer and you’re in Dallas, you must have come across the MoneyGram Soccer Park. This place is an absolute gem for soccer players; it has 19 soccer fields and they are all in pristine condition. Players who play here regularly say that the location also provides a stunning sunset over the Fort Worth Downtown buildings. Hours aren’t may differ per season, but it is assumed that they are open from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Please note that this park may still be limited due to COVID-19; call or search ahead before you go visit.

02. Germany Park

Germany Park is the ultimate park for athletes. It has tennis courts, a playground, exercise section, track and field, and most importantly a full sized soccer field. It is known that more than two pickup soccer groups play here from Monday to Friday nights. We didn’t see weekend morning pickups scheduled at this park from some of the pickup groups in Dallas, but we’re positive there would be a group playing; if you see availability, why not start your pickup group with ENDALGO? The park has lighting for evening play; hours are known to be 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.

03. FORO Sports Club

FORO has professional grade facilities for soccer, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, futsal, rugby, Lacrosse, and more; take your pick. The facility offers their own adult and youth leagues and pickup games, so if you’re lost and don’t know where to start playing in Dallas, FORO can be the perfect choice. As they are a private facility, the fields are well maintained (the image says it all). The hours are from 8:00 am to midnight daily.

04. Jubilee Park and Community Center

Although Jubilee Park has only one full sized soccer field, it’s still popular for the field is just in perfect condition. Handful of pickup groups have games scheduled at this location on weekday nights and weekend mornings. The community center hours differ by day, but the park is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.

05. Inwood Soccer Center

This is a fairly small indoor soccer facility, but many adult recreational teams play here. It has an upper deck spectator area with a bar so it might make sense why it’s popular to adult rec players. They have started playing again this month (June, 2020); it can be a good place to get back in the game.

Conclusion

Overall, it seemed there were numerous places that a team or an individual could start playing soccer in Dallas and its surrounding areas. All the parks have very well maintained soccer fields and northern Texas definitely had those parks or complexes that had 15+ fields in one place which was very impressive. Many parts of Dallas are opening back up for soccer.
